Hell’s Kitchen’s venture into veganism

I received a great e-mail from the folks at Hell’s Kitchen in downtown Norfolk last month about their new vegan menu. With the exit of Yorgo’s Bageldashery’s downtown location (they’re still going strong in Ghent!), vegan options for the lunchtime dining crew have been sparse. Of course, Gourmet Gang is still going strong with their weekly, vegan sandwich specials, but Hell’s Kitchen is bringing a great selection that I’m sure will mean big business for them and good eats for the 9-5ers.

This is no puny vegan menu. The HK crew has gone all out with Gardein chicken, Tofutti cheese, and even using homemade tofu ricotta for their vegan lasagna.

I haven’t had the chance to check things out for myself, but I thought I’d put a call out to readers to share their experiences and reviews. Post in the comments if you’ve tried some of these vegan delicacies at Hell’s Kitchen!

Thanks to Jordan, a bartender at HK, for sending along a copy of the menu:
