Thanks, Joe!

So the hummus itself is vegan, right? It's just the bread/dough that isn't?

My girlfriend works at a California Pizza Kitchen and wanted you to know that the hummus appetizer is not vegan unless you get it on their Neapolitan dough. The same goes for the pizzas.

Two quick comments on the map:

1. It is great, thank you.
2. It clearly confirms that Ghent is basically the most awesome neighborhood in Virginia. Woooo Ghent!

The sorbet at The Boot is vegan. I ate there on Friday and when the server showed us the dessert menu I asked if any of it was vegan. She said no and came back a little later and asked me if I would like sorbet instead. It was pretty good.

Yay! Thx for posting this info. We like to go to The Skinny Dip in VB, but they only do Vegan Vanilla every so often... not daily as I'd like. Will def have to check out this place next time I am in Norfolk. :)

Not sure but if I had to guess I would say no. At this point I have tried all of the menu items and Pelon's is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. The nacho platter is amazing. The hang ten and chi-chi are soooo good. The woman who runs the place is very nice too. My girlfriend asked her what they use for faux meat and we found it they use Lightlife chik'n strips and beef-strips. Im not sure what grocer carries these but they would be with other perishables. We have ordered them by the case and made our own Pelon's on those Sundays when you can't get your fix and they are very tasty. A big thanks to the people at Pelons and Vegan Foodie for telling me about the place.

Haha...vegan cheese is definitely an acquired taste and can be pretty disgusting at times. The first time I went to zpizza the cheese wasn't done very well, but the second time it was delicious.
